The cashew cheese sauce is a great alternative for alfredo, if you are feeling a little queso add chipotle pepper adobo paste, Frontera brand.
It’s super easy to make, all you need is to add couple of ingredients, blend it, and it’s done.
So let’s start making the cashew cheese sauce.
CASHEW CHEESE SAUCE
1 Cup raw, unsalted cashews, soaked in water (at least 24 hrs)
2 Tbsp nutritional yeast powder or flakes
2-4 garlic cloves (taste preference)
Season of your taste preference
pinch of sea salt to taste
- Mix all the ingredients in a food processor (preferred) or blender.
- Add more seasoning till it has your desired taste.
- Blend till smooth. Add water if needed to make it smooth. Go little by little till your find your preference.
- Top it off to a fave dish or use it as a dipping sauce.
